I like this subject - and the angle from which the shot has been taken. The photo makes me want to visit the location!. For me, the sky is a little washed out, but I'm guessing its a cloudy day, which helps to naturally balance the overall saturation of colour through the rest of the picture. I also think this image would look good in black and white.

I have viewed many, many shots of this statue, but none have conveyed the emotion of the face as yours has. The sadness is overwhelming! The harsher exposure adds a lot to this image. Well done!
