Photographer’s Note

Out and about in the city centre today to pick up some needle and thread. Of course when I saw the fun the kids were having with the fountains in Piccadilly Gardens I couldn't resist.

Sometimes I wish I could just run and jump in, get wet, have fun... it's easy to forget what being a kid is like :)

Aaaah, my favourite of the day. Great shot, wonderful motive and top quality. What else can I say? It is often the small pleasures which we do not recognise anymore. The first thought I would have if I were in there would be that hopefully I do not get a cold, whereas this kid is having the fun of his life!

Lovely scene in black and white. The kid playing with water and jumping among the water spring is very well captured. The choice of the black and white is weel done.

Hi Lewis, what a great moment you caught here.Enough shutter speed to freeze this moment without blur, hence giving it "that" feeling of an instant seized out of time and, therefore, kept forever. Good choice to have gone for a B& W conversion.

Great shot - perfectly captured, the tight crop/zoom works very well, the compsoition (with the child off to one side) is good as is the DOF given by the f/2.8 aperture. Good work!

Très belle image que celle de cet enfant jouant parmis les jets d'eau à Piccadilly.
j'aime bien le sujet se detachant nettement du fond, grace au choix judicieux d'une grande ouverture (f:2.8).le noir et blanc convient parfaitement à ce genre de photos.
