Photographer’s Note
This is just before sunset a couple of weeks ago. As the sun was getting ready to disappear for the day, the clouds engulfed it, but it wasn't quite ready to leave and shone through a while longer. It produced the bank of cloud just below the opening, which I hope you can see.
I saw the bird and waited for it to be in the right position before I took the picture. This is the result.
