this is a cottongras species i found in a wetland meadow in dartmoor, south devon.
i kind of like this plant. they look nice as individuals and also in community, as you can imagine, looking at the background. in dircet neighbourhood also many orchids grow. and rare buterflies are flying around. it was really peaceful there. unfortunately the habitats they grow on become more rare every day. i guess it's "human nature" to destroy the beautiful... |

Nice shot....simple, not too cluttered, depth of field just right for this type of photo and pin sharp.
i like this 'cos its not trying too hard, it "just does exactly what it says on the tin!"

Hey ho Andi,
I like this one. The sharpness in front gives you a good detail on the plant and the background lets you still imagine about its habitat and also in what patterns it grows. The lights on the "hairs" are also really fine.
I'd like to see more ;-)
