Photographer’s Note
Cornwall was once a thriving tin-mining county and the numerous old 'stacks' that litter the countryside bear testament to that fact. This particular ruin was once Carn Galver mine, near St. Ives.
About 10 minutes after I took this picture, the clouds came in from the sea and the sky turned black and there was a big storm.
I have another picture of this same stack posted on TE. The link is Cornish Tin Mine

Hi Richard,
A nice subject, this ruin facing the sea and you came there just at the right moment to get the light fall on it and make it shine, well done !
Have a nice week end,
Jean-Yves
