Photographer’s Note

I wanted to try something else. I made this photo from the roof of a sightseeing bus. I didn't metion to take an unsharp photo, but I liked the effect.

Edinburgh is the second biggest city of Scotland and has about 450.000 inhabitants. The name in Gaellic is Dùn Èideann, which comes from Din Eidyn (Fort of Eidyn). After it was besieged by the Bernician Angles the name changed to Edin-burh, which probably derives from the Anglo-Saxon for "Edwin's fort".

It is an very old and beautiful city. The Old Town and New Town districts of Edinburgh were listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. Every year, 13 million tourist visit the city.
