Photographer’s Note
Today we were going to go to Edale but because of some signal problems on the train to Manchester we missed our connection. While deciding what to do - we went to Stalybridge in the end - I took this photograph of the classic Manchester architecture. Notice the smoke coming from the chimney, due in part to the fact it has been so cold these past few days.

Jamie, Excellent composition, depth...and subject! The smoke is a nice finishing touch.

This looks just like the Manchester I remember from 30 years ago, amazing the smoke can still be seen coming out of those chimneys, that must be illegal. I suppose it's from an open fire in a pub. The building across the street looks rather like the Refuse building on Oxford St.

A unique look an some interesting rooftops. The smoke adds a nice element to the pic. Good work.

Nice details and some smoke, makes a nice mood ! Maybe some more contrast, but I like your original view, Jamie, really nice done !

Beautiful shot! I've never noticed these chimneys before but I've eyed up a few particularly ornate ones very nearby.
Great use of depth of field and excellent exposed. Congratulations!
