Ducks on Derwent Photo

Photographer’s Note

This was taken on the Lake called Derwent Water, I like this we actually only stopped so steven could look at the map, but i hopped out of the car and had a walk down and came back with a few pictures from this little area at the end of the lake, this was still quite early in the morning, I like how you can see the mist and then I like the blue colour this image gives off, i debated in making it black and white but decided against it, my favourite bit of this photo and it what made me decide to post it is the silhouette of the duck straight ahead.

Hello Ashley,

good idea to take the picture from that low point of view ! It's beautiful to see the mist still hanging in the mountains. I wonder what the "thing" is in the water at the left side ?

It's very nice view with sky ,far mountains,lake ,rocks and your fantastic duck.

Thanks for visiting me and calling my attention to your picture and Portfolio. As you know there are so many people with great pictures now at TE. I begin my posts near one year ago and than the quality of the members is better than ever and I have only some smiley coins to give but I'm with attention and I recognize good pictures and new members. So in this moment I know you and the best to you at TE. I personaly like very much this picture you take. The atmosphere isso well capture like the nice landscape and approaching angle with the near foreground with the ducks swimming in their natural swimming pool. Lovely and peaceful mood and nature. You captured so well and I will visit more times.

hiya ash! i remember when you were taking this one and was wondering what it would come out like, and i have to say its one of your best shots! maybe THE best, everything works well here, and i know the weather wasnt great, but in this image, its perfect! thanks for sharing!

I like this picture because of it's very good composition and sharpness ! The nearly B/W is really impressive and the duck on the center onf the image gives a "wild" touch...

J'aime beaucoup cette photo,
parce qu'elle met en scène des animaus que j'aime aussi, j'ai des photos nombreuses avec des canards dans ma galerie.
Ici, j'aime cette prise très basse et le contre jour.
