You have captured an interesting subject here, and beatifully returned too Claudia! I like the contrasts between the deep blue, the castle with the golden glow and the dark rock.
Good use of the clouds as well, they make this picture really work. Without them the outline of the castle would not have been so clear. I do think that you have over sharpened this shot slightly too much.

Nonetheless a very nice picture Claudia. Could you tell me more about the castle itself, it's history, is it still in use? Or did you use a polarizer here?

You can say that again ;-)) Didn't see any skies of that colour while I was there.. I agree with Edwin that you have probably been a bit hard with sharpening. Went and dug out my wee book on Edinburgh Castle, this part is called the Western Defences. The building to the left is the Hospital built 1748 on the spot where there used to be a powder magazine. Middle one is the Governor's House built 1742, and the biggie to the right is New Barracks built in the 1790s. I'd love to go back and see it again in this kind of weather ;-)

What an imposing castle on the top of this hill, like a jewell on a ring. sky is incredible. I don't know if it is really oversharpened as mentioned by others, I personally see more saturation than sharpening. Anyway it makes a very stunning image.

You are indeed lucky. I like the perspective of this shot and the "straightforward" composition. The colours are also well-seen. Very good!
