Photographer’s Note
There's been a few posts of Saltburn pier recently, taken from all sorts of angles, so I thought I'd post this photo looking down on it from the cliffs.
The original image had more of the pier on but I cropped it this way as I was more interested in the people on the beach.
I was going to post it in B&W but decided It looked better with the sand colour.
Please let me know what you think.

i really like this shot of the pier paul
it looks as though the tide has just gone out going by the tyre marks in the sand
i can understand the reason why you wanted the people in the shot, but personnally i would of liked to see the end of the pier (but thats my choice)
anyway excellent shot and great angle to take it from

very nice shot paul, the pier breaking up the top third of the shot works very well for me, the colours are nice too, ithink i would prefer it if the landrover wasnt present and it were just people, but thats just my opinion, the one person on the pier also is a nice addition in my eyes, a sucessful shot thanks for sharing!

Well done.

Your composition is good, the sharpness, light and colour,... all is good.

You must have had the lens on full stretch to get this view Paul. Even though it is almost monotone I think you were right to keep it in colour as the sand tones just warm the image up a bit.

hallo Paul, very nice pic, sort of composition of two images. i prefer the upper part, and the cutting of the pier gives a little sense of space on the right. good shot anyway,. regards Alex

I like the two colors so I'm glad you didn't desaturate. This is a good POV from above, you can see forever down the coast.

I like the pov here and the mainly neutral tones and I like how the picture is broken up.

Hi Paul,
Nice, there is a lot happening and you have managed to capture most, I would have like to see a landscape view to appreciate the sea a bit more, but I still like it. TFS
