Photographer’s Note

The Ocean Terminal is a small shopping centre situated on Leith Docks, and is actually the entrance to the Royal Yacht Britannia. A while ago elturco99 posted a picture of blue lights in the ceiling of the centre, and I could not figure out for the life of me where they were. That is, until it started to get dark outside. The blue circles you can see in the ceiling are actually rooflights. In daylight, they are pretty non-descript, but at night they are lit by blue / ultra-violet lights, and there is a fine white mesh at the top for the light to reflect off. This shot is taken at one end of the centre looking towards the other, a distance of perhaps 200 metres. When I realised how the lighting had changed the appearance of the building I just had to give it a go. Bye-bye rule of thirds (for today anyway).
Post pro the image has been framed then sharpened.
