Photographer’s Note
Wyre Forest, Worcestershire.
The Wyre Forest is one of only a few significant oak woodlands left in the UK. Once an important area for charcoal production, the woodlands are now carefully managed by English Nature to provide a variety of habitats for wildlife.
Despite being only twenty miles from the centre of Birmingham, most of the woodland is free of visitors, even on an unseasonably warm sunny Saturday in October!

Nice composition and interesting view of this thriving forest. Agreed, this is a very tough situation you've chosen for your first picture. Tough to keep the sky from burning while keeping the rest properly exposed. With so much light in the frame shots are often lacking contrast which I see you've tried to address.
