Ardnamurchan Point Photo

Photographer’s Note

Ardnamurchan Point is the most westerly point of the British mainland. It is reached via a very long, very twisty, mainly single track road. The journey seems to take for ever but I hope you will agree that the view makes the effort worthwhile. It also shows that you do get good weather in the Scottish Highlands.

Magnific landscape, excellent colors! Really nice work! You are right - it's worth such a journey to get there and see something like this. Well captured!
I want to note also, the good gear you used: your 24 mm lens, good film and landscape experience - makes a good combination for a photo well done.

Beautiful landscape and great sky. Technically, the horizon line seems to be tilting to the left and the bottom is slightly soft. You could have choosen a smaller aperture to increase DOF.

Definitely a worthwhile journey... and one I plan to make at some point (soon I hope!)

You have done well to get the clouds to behave... not only are they showing some blue sky, but they are standing in formation too it seems!
