Pulling Her Hair Out

Which is exactly what this young lady was doing – impervious to everything just running here fingers repeatedly through this hair extension in a posh looking salon.

The artistic reference to this image just has to be Francis Harrison (Furuchan). It reminds me in some way of his Tokyo pics - the light and subject and closer crop.

Have you used YOUR Caviar anti-ageing conditioner today!?

Shave your head and get a wig dear – it could end up cheaper in the long run!!

hi kev, no doubt that francis' influance i quite strong here; but there is always that characteristic flavor of irony, joke, surprise, or - how to put it nicely? - perverseness/contrariness in your pictures which nobody can copy, kev!
i'd maybe crop a bit on the right side, but overall composition is delightful!

Interesting candid shot, and well handled tricky light. I like the very descriptive title.

Magnificent..It looks like a pastel colors rainbow. Breath taking composition and figures. Thank you for sharing.

You are walking right up my alley with this one, Kev. How can I not love this? The YELLOISH light, contrasted with the cold GREY outside, the lonely woman there, dream-like, it's all there, all the ingredients I crave in my own little stories.
Great stuff, really nice work, thick with feeling. Nice ironic, bittersweet note from you as well, my friend.
Well done!
Francis

Yes, definitely a Francis-look-a-like. If I didn't know your photography, I would use a Dutch saying: "Better stolen well, than badly invented", or something like that. My knowledge of English is again not sufficient enough to explain what I want to say.
I love it, Kev, well seen, and beautiful light you captured. beautiful vertical layers.

Hi Kev.
Perhaps there will be people who thought that is a simple photo. Not only they would be wrong: the most important of this photo is how it can suggest something.
A photo, a simple photo can suggest so things. And we can see it here.
The reflections, the colours, the woman, the room,... there are so many things.
Regards.

Hello Kev,
Encore une parfaite scène de rue!
J'adore les reflets dans la vitre et ces lumières artificielles!
Superbe travail
J'aime beaucoup

Hello Kev. What we can saw here: on the midle easy and warm colours, on the right side colours is so cold like on the fridge, and on the left side a litle bit all of them with interesting poster, on the midle lady with some hair in her hands- really you are create here thats MIXED colours and MIND and THEMPERATURE like from Woody Alen. congratulation. good luck

Hi Kev, there is something pointedly sinister about this... holding a lock of hair as though in meditation... but then your note puts the smile back at my face. Marvellous visual contrast between the woman and the Caviar ad, simply superb, and the reference to Francis is bang on.
There are many layers to this marvellous shot, Kev.
Bravo.

Hi Kev,
I like the contrasts in light and colors here a lot.The reflection is like another dimension.Nice thoughtful expression of the girl.
Greetings,
hermann

I thought it was from Francis from the thumbnail. Interstign composition, very nice light and the reflection make us look harder.

I thought at first she was doing someones hair until I read your note - well spotted and executed shot :)

Hello Kev,
I like the two elements in this picture, one, the lady with the hair skein, two the reflections in the window of the cars, everything sharp and clear.
Thanks a lot for visit.
John.

Hi Kev, nice playing with natural and artificial light here! Also, the reflections in the window are an important aspect of your picture: they enhance the voyeuristic feeling that you evoke with this picture. Love your note too!

Also enjoy this one, same as the others, composition wise and color wise..
The scene is also very engaging, kind of funny.
