Like the sign says: Welcom to Aberdeen!

Aberdeen is the 3th city of Scotland and has about 211.000 inhabitants. This street is Union Street in the city centre, where you find all the shops.

The church you see in the middle is the St. Nicholas Kirk (church), it was founded in the 12th century and the building is over 500 years old.

It wasn't very sunny last weekend in Aberdeen, so I increased both the contrast and the saturation. I also warmified the photo. In order to post, the photo was rotated, cropped, resized and sharpened.

Hi Stef,
Groet Rob.

Hey Stef. At first I was confused about where you took this. I was just in Aberdeen, Washington on my recent trip but I can assure you it doesn't look like this! You made the best of the lack of sunlight. Nice shot Stef!

And a fine way to welcome - you captured this place nicely and yes - grey weather also a problem in Denmark - but you must know that :-) thanks Stef for sharing.

Bonjour Stef,
Philippe

Hi Stef, A nice capture of the busy street in Aberdeen. It looks a very busy city with all the cars and people. Nice composition to have the big sign filled up the empty sky and make up the dull color in the sky. A very well taken picture with nice contrast and sharpness.

Leuke foto, goeie compositie. :-)
Hilsner,
Lars
