Shot from Calton Hill in Edinburgh, this is a part of Holyrood Park, a Royal Park near the Holyrood Queen's Palace.
The rock is made from old volcano lava, which during sunsets brings such colorful Mars-like landscapes.
Cropped image in PS, remove some noise and resized, colors haven't been modified.

Nice panorama.Beautiful warm colours.Dark sky gives more dramatic view to photo.

Wow, I've been at this same spot, but with the VERY dramatic lighting I didn't even recognize it until I read the description. Pretty stunning shot, but I would work on the levels just a bit. I think this photo has more potential than what's shown here.

Ludovic,
Three dramatic bands of colour work really well for this photo - as does the square crop. Not sure about the inclusion of the figure here, simply because I can't help noticing just how much more odd and surreal the photo would look with just that empty bench in the middle!
