In front of Buckingham Palace, the Changing Guards Ceremony attracts much more people than in Stockholm :o) It was so crowded that I gave up...

Later on, on our way back, less people and more clouds, perfect for a setting like this ! Completely against the sun, I just increased the shadows later on to darken a bit more the Victoria Memorial silhouette, no change to the colors (there are some ...). Added a frame.

The Victoria Memorial was build in 1911 by Sir Thomas Brock. It is made of gilded bronze, bronze, and granite.

If it was not that dark, you would see the Queen in the middle, surrounded by Truth, Justice and Motherhood. On the top, it is Victory that plays the role of my Dark Angel. Next to her are Constancy and Courage.

(As a WS I posted a picture of that huge crowd, and you can see the Memorial)

Really great treatment of this subject - something I've never seen before, and it really works. The silhouette with the sun directly behind the figure is dramatic and interesting. Interesting note also.

Amazing shot perfect background and settings
I love it

Beautiful silhouette you got in this photograph, with strong shapes. And you got it in a perfect moment, with a hole in the clouds just behind the statue.

The silhouette so sharp and more mythrious atmosphere.....woooooooooooo

This is a very simple picture and the simplicity makes it very beautiful. I really like the dramatic sky in the background and the black foreground. Best wishes!

Hello Youssef! I really like what you have here, good thought to use the sun like that in your composition. Completely changes it from a bright white statue to something much more ominous and sombre. Great capture, well done!

Bonsoir Youssef,

All the light comes from behind the angel, i'm creeped... that must have been a exciting moment
