Photographer’s Note

I find landscape shots like this very hard, as there are not a lot of features that one can use as foreground interest on the moors. However, the contrast of the field and stark hills provides some interest to the scene. I've increased contrast in levels and increased the saturation of the land, which has then been sharpened slightly. I like the sky, which has been heavilly levelled as it was an overcast day, making it more dramatic, then desaturating to return it to a reasonable colour. I am a little conserned that it detracts slightly from the reality of the scene, but for me, the sky's intensity balances out the crisp contrasts in the field.

* Note that this is the wider panoramic suggested
