Photographer’s Note
Only a few minutes drive from Belfast city centre Shaws Bridge is surrounded by forest and parks. The river Lagan and tow path is where many people in Belfast spend their weekend walking, jogging etc.
Sadly over the years Belfast turned its back on its river and the River Lagan became viewed as nothing more than an industrial thoroughfare with muddy, polluted water, its riverbanks neglected and derelict.
However the last decade has seen extensive regeneration within Laganside and the area is becoming strong and vibrant again.

Hi Stephen, very nice photo and perspective and well composed. the old bridge stands out very nice against the blue-white sky. And some nice relections on the water. Well captured.

This is a great shot of Shaw's Bridge, Stephen - made even more so by the excellent foreground. I like the fact that we can also see a bit of the modern motorway through the arches of the old one. Beautiful colours. Well done.

Hi Stephen;
The composition here is great. I also like the way the moss in the water flows with the current, it's another interesting way to show movement of water other then a long exposure.
Well captured!
