This Female Migrant hawker had been laying eggs into the clump of reeds just above the water here she is resting after her exertions for a moment or so,had been trying to get one of her laying but could not get close enough.
this may be one of the last this year as they as the weather is changing with the coming of the Autumn Equinox as we are seeing our 1st rain for weeks today.

Pity, you didn't catch her laying eggs, but that makes two of us ;-). I like this kind of background much better than the berries, because it enhances her rather than obscures her. Sharp and "done to a turn" as your photos always are.
