View of the walled garden that surrounds Nymans House at Handcross, West Sussex, England. Set in 600 acres of picturesque and landscaped gardens it is now owned by the National Trust and open to the public. However extensively damaged by fire in 1947 the south east facing side of the house is just a shell, having never been rebuilt.

Hi Brian. It must be a sweet thing to live in certain parts of England with its ancient stone edifices, charming cottages, stately landscaped gardens, the more "busy" cottage gardens, hedges, moss and lichen. It makes me happy looking at scenes like this one, especially if the photo is of high quality. Regards. Klaudio.

How many kinds of sweet flowers grow in an English country garden ...
It immediately comes to mind!
This is England personified!
It is beautiful, rural, neat and very very green!
Your angle creates excellent guides, giving a fine sense of depth and well placed elements.
I read your note but was still surprised to see that the l/h building was only a façade.
Have a great day,

Simply beautiful Brian. Light, colour, detail and composition are lovely and reveal the beauty of an English country garden to perfection.

You chose a very well angle with a lot perspective and depth.
The garden wall leads us excellent to the back side of the nice garden.
Sharpness and clarity his real pleasant.
Also your sky makes these picture attractive.
Very well composition, TFS.

Hi Brian, what a lovely garden shot.
Very good POV, colors and details.

A well composed image making good use of the wall as a lead line into the shot with its flowers and trees. What really catches my eye though is that building - my mind is expecting to see a roof to the left of it and I see only sky so it has a surreal quality to my warped mind!

Magnificent light once again. I know I sound like a broken record, but truly you have a gift for light that brings out such amazing color. This is a great composition, the wall leading well into the frame, and surrounded on all sides by the bursts of color from the flowers. Lush green lawns, rambling old mansion, interesting trees and a cool sky. What more can a photographer ask for!
All the best

You're out of control good sir, your notes make me, as the kids say, "lol" :)
If I was getting paid handsomely for my pictures, I surely wouldn't be pissing & moaning about going to work every day...in fact, I'd quite enjoy it!
What an incredibly bright and vibrant image you've turned out here, this looks extremely inviting...although my allergies might have something to say on the contrary. Solid perspective as always, and your knack for capturing such amazing light is well documented. I have to assume this particular position is the southeast you mentioned, the backless facade of the house caught my eye right away.
Looks like they do a terrific job with maintenance, the grounds are well manicured and made for photography...and that rich blue sky is the perfect backdrop. Great place for a chocolate Easter egg hunt...unlike the Valley of the Sun, they won't melt before being found. :) Have a good one. Take it easy.
Cheers from Feenix,
Glad you enjoyed the new profile pic, it's not the shampoo...just too much free time with the Photoshop program. ha

Nice, very nice. If I was in your shoes, I'd have moved camera to the left, just a little!

marvelous view of this garden. beautiful flowers and magnificent tree, I suppose it is cedar. Superb composition and your fantastic colours.
Happy Easter to you and your family

A fine example of the great british art in gardening indeed. The strong light and deep saturated colors makes this a real jewel.
The remaining facade of the derelict house makes this appear like the set of an english costume movie.

This is a beautiful place, with a lot of colorful flowers. The strong composition drives the eye toward the picture thanks to the diagonals.
