Took a trip to Conwy today as it was supposed to be a nice sunny day. NO. This is the back of the castle that doesn't get seen in photos very much.
Built between 1283 and 1287 by Edward 1 during his conquest of Wales. The castle and town walls were built for the sum of £15000 a very substantial amount of money then. At todays rate it would cost 45 million pounds.

I spite of the grey weather, you did a good job with the photo. We amateur photographers cannot do much about the weather, we should take it as it comes. (Actually, professional ones cannot do much about the weather, either, but since it is their job, they can plan their travel time around weather.)
Question, what do you mean by "the back"? Is this taken from the ocean side at low tide?

I like very much how moody this picture is and how mysterious the castle looks. The foreground must be quite deep, the birds give a sense of scale. I think that a slight crop on the right side would leave out of the frame the little tip without compromising the balance of the composition. The textures are very well rendered and the chromatic harmony is appealing and interesting as the wet soil and the castle are so similar chromatically and so different texturally. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great weekend,

Wonderful castle good point of view
Your camera sensor was setted on the architecture
That's why the sky is a little bit washed and this is normal
But it's possible to correct, that's why I have done a WS
