magnificent B&W work!
I can imagine the color version of this scene with lovely light and vivid colors, but I´m glad you decided to convert it into B&W though.
Just love these different silver tones, which help you to bring out the whole beauty of this Castle.
Have a nice day

oh man...this is great!
I know i've said it to you a few times before, but i HAVE so see this place in person some day.
this looks like such a fairy-tale Castle.
it almost looks unreal, but in a good way.
super shot, really like it - and i'm surprised because I thought it wouldn't have a chance against the colored version but it stands up very well.

Not sure of your monotone processing steps here. My first impressions were: I don't think that there is enough contrast between the vegetation the castle and the sky so the image appears a little flat. Whatever colours are in the vegetation but are not in the castle I would attempt to darken. It would be easier if the vegetation was green for converting to monochrome but I take note that it is an autumn shot and it might be more difficult.
It is only fair that you should now feel free to get stuck into my images as you see fit.

excellent composition with this beautiful castle in black and white. It increased the graphical impact of it. Great framing with razor sharp details. Tfs.

Initially I thought the contrast was a little soft in this shot Brian but looking at the link you posted I now think that the problem here is with the size you have posted, the beautiful fine details just don't come through well at this scale. I'd love to see this twice the size at least. Having said that I think this is a delicate and finely managed conversion. Nice to see some more of your monochromatic images. Warm regards rosemary

This is a most splendid point of view on the castle and an equally splendid presentation. Perfectly framed and boasting a superb range of tones and excellent clarity. Back and white photography of the highest order, what more can I say?

You certainly excelled your self in this capture and posting it in B@W. love the large one in the link, it comes to life and one can imagine all the Lords and ladies dinning inside.

A truly delightful black and white photograph of this beautiful castle.
The light on the face of the castle is wonderful and lifts the building perfectly against a dark and moody sky and the darker background of trees, bringing out all the lovely details and textures of its magnificent stonework. Beautiful light, tones and contrasts and exquisite details and clarity.
The picture does, of course, look so much better in your link to the "500px" website. I have heard of this website before - is it good and do you enjoy it?

Beautiful photo of this fairy tale castle, you have chosen the BW version and it adds to the mysterious mood, well done

Cette version noir et blanc de ce château est vraiment intéressante. Beau rendu, intermédiaire entre le dessin et la photo.

Hey there you hound dog,
How ya' been? Hope you've kept yourself out of trouble...or is that too much to ask? hehe
I had read about some of your processing on this image, and however it was done...I for one, love the outcome! It has a inverted infrared look about it, something completely unexpected and yet incredibly appealing to me. Understanding the original color version, this puts quite a wrinkle of the entire vibe of the castle...something more along the lines of Dracula and the likes. Spooky cool! :)
No matter the personal preference, you just have to throw something out there every now and then and see what sticks. (Hey, stop it...I know where you were going with that!) The long focal length and tighter composition really makes this appear almost completely engulfed by the trees, but it still stands strong and proud. A place I would love to visit, sheer beauty! Enjoy the new day. Take it easy.

This is reminiscent of an old b/w postcard. Lovely treatment of this classic scene from Arundel. Subtle light and good crispness - I like this a lot.
Kind Regards, Ann
