Aberaeron is a seaside resort town in Ceredigion, Wales. Situated between Aberystwyth and Cardigan. The River Aeron (Welsh: Afon Aeron) flows into Cardigan Bay at Aberaeron.
The architecture of Aberaeron is unusual in this part of rural Wales, being constructed around a principal square of elegant Regency style buildings grouped around the harbour. This was the work of Edward Haycock, an architect from Shrewsbury. Some of the architecture was of sufficient interest to feature on British postage stamps.

Hello Trevor ,
What an excellent capture in difficult light conditions ! It looks like a painting . The compositon is splendid , with the floers in the FG , the colorful port , and a beautiful cloudy sky .

thanks for this summery photo - it really can cheer one up on rainy morning. The flowers in the foreground are spectacular - their colors are bright and rich and definitely eye catching. Also the houses on the second plan are very picturesque. All these elements placed against dramatic sky - the result is very goo.
Thanks for sharing

the panoramic format is just perfect for this well composed shot ,the bright summer flowers in the FG are an attractive introduction to the scene and whilst the sky is overcast it has brought out the colours and details of the boats and houses beautifully as well as creating it`s own interest.
Very nicely done.

You have made good use of these foreground flowers and herbs to introduce us to the scene and to the charming, colourful harbour houses. Despite the gloomy sky and heavy clouds hanging over the scenery, the light and colours have given a very beautiful and clean picture. The DOF and composition are spot on. Well done.

inspired POV this, and a shot that captures the real beauty of summer in Wales. For F9 the DOF is amazing in this shot, which is both colourful, characterful and captivating. Superb!

Hello Trevor - The inclusion of the massed display of wild flowers gives not only a wonderful colour burst to this well cropped and composed shot but also adds a lovely contextual detail which I like very much. Seen over the flowers the town looks really attractive with the boats in the little harbour and the rows of gaily-painted houses. The sky looks overcast and moody but there is no gloom here thanks to the seaside colours. This looks like a place I would love. Warm regards Rosemary

A beautiful image, nice cloudy gray sky, pastel houses, little harbor at low tide, well introduced by the colorful flowers at fg
Have a nice day, all the best

splendido soggetto, trattato nella migliore delle maniere per ottenere una foto di particolare suggestione.
Splenditi e particolarmente efficaci sia il POV che la composizione.
Eccellenti sia la nitidezza che i colori.
Ciao e buona serata

This photo is a nice proof of how a deft photographer can turn an ordinary looking place into a nice scenery. Very well done. Good idea to shoot this photo from behind these flowers and grasses they provide an attractive framing for this scene. I also like the row of house in the distance, each one is of different colour. Very nice, I wonder how beautiful it would look if you had a clear blue sky. Excellent photo, thanks for sharing.

You have used these flower perfectly to excite the view of the town It is a great composition! There is no doubt about the thirds: the wild flowers, the harbour and the colourful houses.
Despite the clouds, who wouldn't want to visit this place!
My warm regards,

molto bella questa panoramica, con i fiori colorati in bella vista, una vera e propria cartolina postale.
Mi piacciono le facciate dei palazzi, hanno dei bei colori che si alternano piacevolmente.

Did you see the sun when you were in the UK? I remember seeing it once a couple of years ago... However you've made the most of the conditions, and in fact the sky is much more interesting than a bland monotone. And despite the grey day, you've managed to find some significant splashes of colour and have wormed your way into a position to achieve a stonking composition. Maybe for my taste the saturation is a tad livid, but I'm not going to throw my dummy out of the pram about that.
