Abstract exterior of the East Beach Café, completed in June 2007 it is an usually shaped Café/Restaurant located on the beach in the seaside town of Littlehampton in West Sussex, England. The design was inspired by beach driftwood and made locally from steel that was allowed to rust and then coated in special oil to protect it from the elements.

beautiful and so eye-catching!
Just love the combination of orange and blue colors here and of course the way the sun illuminates the orange structure.
Have a nice day

The deep colours and the beautiful play of light and shadow is magnificent.
The choice for this format is perfect with all these vertical lines!

A fine posting which makes the elements into a wonderfully, rich, abstract composition. We have contrasting textures, warm/cold hues, curved lines, leading lines, swirling lines. It is a photograph that the eyes enjoy playing with!
It looks as if you had some dry weather, at last!
My warm regards,

Creative work here Brian. You have an ability to see a shot from an original perspective and I can imagine you walking around this beach cafe visualising the photographic possibilities of your subject. Here colour, texture and light all combine with your precise composition to produce a paired-down and artistic image. Keep on looking for the less-evident... I love the results! Warm regards Rosemary

They look as funboards, drying in the low sun, contrasting so well with the deep blue sky!

Nice minimal composition playing with colours and contrasts. Excellent clarity and tonal quality as well. Good detailing on the textures of the wall helped by the wonderful light which is a signature of your photos. Thanks for sharing.

bellissimo scatto, bel gioco di luci e ombre, un particolare ben fotografato, il suo colore si staglia bene contro il cielo.

Une exploitation photographique très originale, graphique et colorée, de l'architecture de ce café.

The contrast between the blue sky and the orange color makes the composition very attractive. Like the warm illumination on the structure. Great quality .

I can see where they got the idea from drift wood, kind of looks similar.
I was beginning to wonder where your photo's were lol
this is more like the 'brian' style we're used too :)
great to see some pitting and details on the main subject, and of course that skyline is the top! love that wispy style of cloud with the blue, its the best.
cool shot, in the Juanesque style

Gidday dear Brian
What a cool café! Love the close up POV, the vertical frame and those rich colours and under-exposed light. The clouds add to the intensity of the image for sure and I can't keep my eyes off the textures, particularly of the golden sculpture in the FG.

Two words...love it! This goes to show your creative, and dare I say...evil genius. ;) I doubt there are too many that would have envisioned this type of composition, and without your note, this could be virtually anything the mind can imagine...and that's what makes it stellar. Even my old eyes can pick out the sharp detail, every little divot and texture is vivid. The range of reds, highlights of golden yellow, and the blue sky is an exquisite combination. Happy to see that sun, yeah? Enjoy the new day.
Cheers from the other side,
Good work keeping the "naughty" in check from todays notes. :)

The other view of this structure, your "East Beach Cafe," is more explanatory, but this frame GLOWS! I admire the way you have coxed an infinite range of tones form the building's surfaces, and the sidelight, of course, helps model the textures and highlight the vertical faces.
My assumption is that you have not touched this very strongly -- given my rudimentary processing skills, when I start working on an area like this building, I lose track of the other areas, such as the sky, and I wind up with a sky that is very cyan -- but here, your deep blue shows its true color.
Finally, the geometric composition is intriguing... the verticals of the building connect the sky to the short diagonal slashes from the roadway -- and the wispy clouds are almost literal icing on the cake.
A very impressive image, Brian!
