The deeply flooded fields at Pulborough in West Sussex, England. The River Arun has burst it banks and swollen to a width 3 times its normal size, and you can normally walk by footpath to the trees you see in the distance. The actual river is out of shot being off to the right of these flooded fields.

Very nice capture of this wintery scenery crowned by a quite photogenic sky !
TFS and best regards

And, so it continues this terrible weather. I like the layered effect and the stark contrasts in light and tone.

The two part color scheme of the sky is the most attractive aspect of this photo. The flooded river is shining under the little bit of sun shine that is breaking through those dark clouds. Good photo taken at the right moment, thanks for sharing.

sometimes natural disasters also give us some extraordinary frames for photography. Here is one of them. Like the panoramic composition. Great colours in the sky. Beautiful layers. I enjoyed this frame a lot. Tfs.

Isn't it ironic that something so beautiful can be made from a disaster that has created so much destruction!
Your shot contains lovely horizontal layers of differing colours and textures, culminating in the sky which really grabs the show!
Hope the rain stops soon,

difficult days nice Britain on these days, I could see in the TV. Good documentary photo. Fine contrast and nice lines of colors.
Have a nice evening.

An excellent capture and presentation in a panographic format. I like the succession of horizontal layers from foreground to background. I particularly like the dark clouds in the golden sky.
(A TV reporter was giving a description of flooding around the river Thames. Similar to you they made a comment about where the river was located relative to the image being shown)

Lovely and beautiful picture!
Hopefully that flood didn't cause any troubles around!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, horizontal & panoramical format, chosen pov and composition are all excellent!
TFS - congrats,

Despite the damages made by the flood, the artistic side is very attractive. The contrasts are amazing, kind of dramatic. Interesting scene, well taken.
Have a fine day ahead.

Une lumière étrange qui crée une atmosphère particulière. Ces inondations t'ont permis de réaliser des images très originales.

another beautiful and moody capture from You!
Just love the color contrast between "metallic"looking water surface and so beautifully lit up sky.
Superb photo opportunity, but I hope the high water did not harm to the people and the nature there.
Have a nice day

It's gloomy because of the clouds yet sunny enough to get a good view of this beautiful landscape. Nicely captured with good lighting and nice details. Well done, tfs.

hello Brian, it really looks as dangerous flood. interesting for photos but horrifying. I live near the river and quite low so I am afraid of flood. and there are serious floods every several years in Poland. But for a photographer splendid opportunity for a good photo.

The scene, the colours and the layers in this landscape are of a dramatic beauty!
