Following a night of high winds and heavy rain today has been a day of sunshine and showers with a double rainbow to light the gloom.
The village of Chillaton sits at the rainbows end whilst on the RH horizon is Brentor Church.

due arcobaleni al prezzo di uno....fantastico.
Bellissimo anche il paesaggio che fa da sfondo.
Bel colpo, complimenti.

That double rainbow is the cherry on the cake!
But everything else pleased me a lot: sharpness, exposure, colors, chosen pov and composition!
TFS - congrats,
A very happy and prosperous 2014!

From what we hear, you have been battered with dreadful storms, rain and winds recently but this is a wonderul scene in calmer times and you have captured it perfectly.
The sunlight is simply magical as it lights the foreground grass and also picks out the village of Chillaton beautifully. And, of course, that double rainbow is an added bonus too.
A lovely composition with beautiful light and colours, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.
Have a Wonderful New Year!

I certainly don't say that the bad weather is a price worth paying to get an image like this. Too many people have suffered too much for that, but the light after a storm is amazing. The double rainbow and the white buildings create a really strong focal point for the image.

Simply an amazing capture of a rare event (or at least rare in my experience!).
I especially like the brightness of the rainbow on the left, which is really striking.
Very good composition of the pleasant countryside, and balanced colors.

a rainbow photo is right up there as one of the best type of photos to capture!
a special moment for sure, good for you to have it in your gallery for ever.
and to have the rolling hills off into the distance with the darkened sky really gives it a charming appearance.
lucky you! :)
Happy New Year

Wonderful presentation of this double rainbow. All the colours are so clear, and so nicely the tree stands between the arches. Really spectacle of nature.
I wish you and your loved ones healthy, happy and prosperous New Year 20q14.

there seems no end to the stormy weather and with another forecast for tomorrow, you wonder when it will calm down. This shot is a wonderfully executed opportunist image that proves there is at least some brief respite. Superb!
All the very, very best for 2014 - B.

Gorgeous photo with the double rainbows. I have a seen a few, but most of the time, was on in any place with a nice landscape to take a compelling picture of it. The green field and the village serves as a great backdrop to feature the rainbows. The fences also are nice element showing the urban type setting. It also makes me think of the song, "Desperado" by the Eagles. Desperado, "why don't you come to your senses?
Come down from your fences, open the gate
It may be rainin' but there's a rainbow above you
You better let somebody love you...

difficult storm shot taken in an artistic
way I love this green landscape with the
small village hidden in the background
but the beauty is the rainbow
adding a natural tone after the storm
you are a very luck photographer indeed
you caught this scenery the right

what a beautiful capture! It's not very often that I see rainbows even in summer here, let alone in winter. A very clear shot in juicy colors.
Thanks and best wishes for the New year!

Another great shot! The two rainbows are fabulous here and you got the best light. Light is usually so great when the sun shines on stormy days. The fence makes a very nice foreground.
