Thought I would have a break form Barcelona and it's reflections and offer you this reflection in London.
I was walking down Whitehall last Saturday, towards Parliament Square and I was staggered by the sheer number of people waiting their turn to step inside the iconic red telephone boxes to have their picture taken whilst holding the receiver etc. I was also amazed at the number of people crossing Westminster bridge to get a shot of the Houses of Parliament. I can't think why - personally, I'm with Guy Fawkes!
As I walked back up Whitehall I noticed this reflection in the telephone box window and thought wouldn't it be good to merge two of the iconic images of London and get two for the price of one! So here it is.

c'est une très belle composition, le reflet avec la légère déformation de l'image est superbe.

your commentary made me laugh out loud! Politicians are a necessary evil, I'm afraid. I love the originality of this shot and it is testament to your observation and technique. Superb imagery!
Have a great weekend - Brian.
roll on Nov. 5th! Eh?

I understand your picture not 100% alone the lantern to the right side is sharp.
Maybe understand I everything wrong.
But happy that not everyone makes the same picture, maybe a good experimental picture.
Have a nice weekend,

You really are the master of reflections! This is a brilliant effect, and whatever is in that glass has given a very magical effect to the image. Ever so slight distortion makes an interesting change to the face of the clock, and the striking red lines are a brilliant addition / inclusion too. A very iconic image, but from a completely original point of view.

Well, today we are listening The Clash. Why not? I like this song too. EVery original view, creative and fresh idea. Well done, Mike.

besides the (usual from you) originality of the idea, i enjoy some further details here, like the dissolving of the tower to the left and the illusion of the reflected building as a continuation of the real one on the right. desaturation worked nice, while i still dream of a saturated bright red & gold in there.

You had a clever idea for an attractive and quite original composition. I also enjoyed your amusing note. Well done in every way.
PS A good title too.

Not two but three Mike! The blurry old style legendary British traditional red telephone box is there as a prime candidate for colour popping! It's well arranged to strike the eyes all the way nicely put together and pure treasures to enjoy seen totally from diff perspective. Another fine shot of same theme and pleasure to view. Congrats

Something completely different.....
Amazing shot, very well seen !

The fact that those are icons makes this superb. Interesting to note those faded colours. I wonder if that can be seen as symbol of fading importance of both wired communications and British Empire.

two iconic objects captured in one shot-Big Ben and typical English red telephone box.
But to see these two objects through your lens is just amazing!Creative and brilliant shot!
And for me certainly a good photography lesson.
Have a good sunday

This is another fine capture of yours - a picture which again shows that you definitely keep your eyes open and don't just look - but also see!
Also an iconic picture - the Houses of Parliament and St. Stephen's Tower (not "Big Ben" - that's just the name of the bell) reflected in the windows of a K6 telephone box with just a sliver of the "unreflected" building on the right.
Very well seen and composed with bang-on exposure, good light and colours and excellent sharpness.
P.S. A propos our recent discussion on monitors, I recently received a present from a friend of a friend - a present of a Spyder 3 Elite monitor calibrating device. Have you ever used one of those or anything similar? It turned my monitor all dim and the colours seemed to go crazy. Should I try it again or is that a sign that my old monitor has had its chips? Any ideas?

I just couldn't help noticing the title of the picture - The Clash? :)
As usually, a very original composition - you really seem to have found your own style while most of us TE-ers(including me) are still looking!
All the best,
