The home of William Shakespeare in Stratford upon Avon doubled as a workshop for his father John who was a worker in fine leathers. Shakespeare was born in this house in 1564. He worked in London during the middle part of his life returning to Stratford in 1602 where he purchase land to build his own house. he died in 1606 and is grave can be seen in Holy Trinity Church situated in Stratford next to the river.

Hello Colin - I was born not far from Stratford and my sister lives there now so I am very familiar with this location. I am amazed you managed to get a shot with very few tourists in it! Your composition with the distinctive flower baskets and oblique angle is good and the light is super. I do like the stormy sky, it adds such atmosphere.
