Photographer's Note

Situated between its more famous neighbours, the giants causeway and Carick-a-rede rope bridge on the North Antrim coast is Ballintoy harbour. In the 19th century the little harbour was used for shipping set stones that were used to pave the streets of cities like Dublin,Cork,Limerick,Wexford and Glasgow. The remains of a limestone kiln still stand on this site.
Ballintoy remains a popular spot for tourists for its picturesque setting and tranquility. It is one of my favourite places on the North Antrim Coast.
