I was most fortunate to visit the Shard last week, it's awesome. Excuse the poor quality as taken through glass.A few facts from Wiki..
The Shard, also referred to as the Shard of Glass, Shard London Bridge and formerly London Bridge Tower, is a 72-storey skyscraper in London. Its construction began in March 2009; it was topped out on 30 March 2012 and inaugurated on 5 July 2012. It opened to the public on 1 February 2013. Standing 309.6 metres (1,016 ft) high, the Shard is the tallest building in the European Union. It is also the second-tallest free-standing structure in the United Kingdom, after the concrete tower at the Emley Moor transmitting station.
The Shard replaced Southwark Towers, a 24-storey office block built on the site in Southwark in 1975. Renzo Piano, the Shard's architect, worked with the architectural firm Broadway Malyan during the planning stage. The glass-clad pyramidal tower has 72 habitable floors, with a viewing gallery and open-air observation deck – the UK's highest – on the 72nd floor, at a height of 244.3 metres (802 ft)

A very impressive shot of the roof tops of London.
Nothing wrong with the quality.

Lovely to see you back after such a long time! I hope that you are well and I look forward to seeing more of your pictures again soon.
You must make no apology regarding the quality of this picture. I know that you have shot this one through glass but the glass must be remarkably clean as the picture shows excellent light, colours, contrasts and sharpness. Your composition is delightful, the river running obliquely through the frame and with Tower Bridge perfectly placed. A delightful and pleasing view even if I do suffer from vertigo!
An interesting note too.

I love seeing cities from a high vantage point and this picture of London is very interesting and attractive, in spite of having some glass reflections here and there!
TFS - congrats,

I haven't been up this yet but your picture suggests that I should. A wonderful viewpoint and how good to have Tower Bridge position so well within the frame. Lovely and sharp - I like this very much.
Kind Regards, Ann

I noticed you in the newly posted gallery page, I clicked on your main page then i noticed this photo.
Your newest post is really cool, and worthy of a critique for sure, but I just couldn't resist this photo.
At first I thought this was taken from the large wheel, but obviously not.

Very informatibe note and good illustration. The quality is not so bad. I'd like to add a view of this building to WS, for example.
What is this historic ship on the FG?

I've been waiting to see this view, and it certainly doesn't disappoint! I was fascinated by this building, and unfortunately only had a chance to see it from the other side of the Thames. You caught this on a nice day, the bright sunlight allows us to see the cityscape in fine detail, and even though you had to take this through the glass, it still makes for a pleasing image over London and some of her famous landmarks. Thanks for sharing the view from this dizzying height. :) Enjoy the day ahead.
All the best,
