I like to discover new streets in Manchester, and once I have seen a good background, I wait for someone to come and give life to the shot, trying not to be noticed to get a natural street picture.
Here is one example, and I waited for the woman dressed in blue, in accordance with the advertissement.

I like your photo from conception to completion. The title is most appropriate. Your explanation, "...once I have seen a good background, I wait for someone to come and give life to the shot..." was also on my mind, when I shot "Starry, Starry Night II" last year.

I like your technique.
I will have to try it - to choose a b/g and wait for someone to animate it!
It has worked really well, here.
The angle is nicely set, to create good guides, and the lady perfectly complements the setting.
Have a good Sunday,

You did wait for the right momemnt. This is another great example of clever street photography. Very well seen and taken.
