Sea smoothed and sculptured breakwater languishing in the sun on the beach at Shoreham-by-sea in West Sussex, England.
I apologise for the necessity to add a watermark to my images; I am trying to make it as discreet as possible. But in recent weeks I have discovered that some of my images posted on TE have been hi-jacked and are now being used promotionally on other websites, without my permission. I like this site and want to continue posting so this is the only way I can see to perhaps discourage this problem.

I really like the saturated colours, warm light and strong contrast here. Great composition and, as many times before, you made great use of the wispy clouds to fill in the negative space at the top.
Have a great weekend

What a superb graphical composition, made all the more so by the saturated colours and that lovely shadow. Excellent photography indeed.

Nice warmth to the colours - saturation, or colour temperature settings, just right here. Pin sharp with lots of clear detail. For me the line created by the breakwater and shadow, that points like an arrow into the two dimensional flat background, creates a real sense of depth and makes this a very dynamic image. It would be a good subject for creating a 3D effect.

Le ciel en fond fait un mouvement avec des flanelles blanches et quelle perspective et iamge avec l'ombre de la barrière ce bois et la sol rouge une splendeur.
Bravo et amitié

Simple and powerful, a finely composed and managed image Brian. The colours are perfect together each enhanced by the other. Excellent. Warm regards Rosemary

Well, it looks as though you have been blessed with a little spring weather down your way judging by the bright sunlight in this picture!
A very striking and simple composition with excellent strong perspective. The strong shadows repeat the lines of the skeleton of the breakwater and the light, coming from an angle, brings out all the beautiful colours and textures of the old sea-worn wood. The use of two complmentary colours - blue and orange - adds to the simplicity and appeal of this image.
Glorious colours, lovely light, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.

All your images seem to come from greek islands !!! ;) I could never tell that this one comes from england ;)
Huge contrast and saturation are really your style and it works perfectly here with a nice shadow on the right and some cute clouds in the sky
Very well done ;)

Ciao e buon fine settimana

The key of your image is totally outstanding color combination which makes the scene stunning and eye catching. Very well done. The vertical composition fits here perfectly. Like it!

Splendide photo!

Hi Brian, the contrast between the orange/reds and the blue sky works well. The reds look slightly unnaturally saturated but nevertheless contribute well to the image. As others have said, the thin clouds are good too. cheers, Steve

This looks more like Utah or Arizona in the US south west, than the UK, with those intense colours of red and blue, But you've been there so you know. Good sharpness and perspective. Nice repetition of the rust colored posts. Have a nice weekend!

Superb shot Brian!Sometimes less is more, like in this case.Just the breakwater and so beautiful and colorful pebbles.I like the POV you chose to capture the scene, but I think the most significant feature of your image is a combination of soft, warm light and vivid,well-saturated colors.
Have a nice weekend
