This is the dome of Buxton opera house in Derbyshire, England. I don't remember that I've seen a lot of 'glass' dome..Built in 1903 and designed by Frank Matcham, who also designed two famous London theatres: the London Palladium (1910) and the London Coliseum (1904). Thanks for looking.

The conical glass dome is unusual. However the blue tinge and the dark framework with light in the background makes this a warm and beautiful photograph.
The dark vegetation of leaves and twigs in the top forfront, along with the dark base of the dome - gives a natural 'framing by contrast' to the photograph.
The background light creates a sort of a halo around the dome and the iron artwork at the top of the dome.
Thanks for sharing.

A very atmospheric image of this unusually shaped glass dome. I like the subdued lighting and the halo effect around the top of the dome, also the muted tones. Thanks for sharing.

molto bella la luce che illumina la cupola, il vetro prende molte sfumature, bella anche l'atmosfera creata.

I think it is a beautiful dome of glass, it must be heavy, great idea to use the sun behind the dome

very nice capture.you have taken it at a bright night when u had a good source of light from the moon so the color and the shape of the dome is clearly shown and the leaves in the upper side makes a balance

I've only just seen this picture - after you added a link to it in your recent critique of my photo from here! And I think I might just have a picture of the Opera House which includes this glass dome too - I must have another look!
I love the way the light percolates through the glass panels of the dome to give a wonderful blue colour which stands out beautifully against the pinkish hues of the sky. A very well seen and taken photograph with excellent light and colours, perfect exposure (in difficult conditions) and excellent details and sharpness.
