Photographer's Note

This view of Ben Lomond was taken from the grounds of Cameron House hotel on the west side of Loch Lomond just a few miles north of Balloch.

Ben Lomond is 3,196 feet (974 metres) high. Scottish mountains which are higher than 3,000 feet are classified as Munros, after Sir Hector Munro who produced the first such listing.

Ben Lomond is the most southerly of all the Munros.
