A view east along the pebble beach at Eastbourne, East Sussex, England. A warm day and two young children are competing at placing pebbles in stacks on the old and rusting sea defences.

This is a beautiful, artistic, well thought-out and well composed image. Excellent colour, lines, sharpness and depth of field. A nice touch with the one orange stone in the group of four.

May be that your choice of high saturation (but I like that , too) increases the colors of the pebbles , but they are really fantastic . The composition , using the decorative elements , is excellent . And so sharp .

Hello Brian - A clever and unusual composition, the juxtaposition of weathered wood, natural pebbles and slick railings works well and in a way echoes the 'look' of modern interior design. Your palette is more restrained in this shot but compositionally it is still very much your style. Nice job! Warm regards Rosemary

Wonderful warm vs cold color contrasts between the red rocks & blue sky with good sharpness & superb graphism & smart choice of a vertical frame. The diagonal rails at left add dynamism * linear perspective. Tfs!

Belle originalité dans le cadrage avec en plus les quartes pierres, le rendu des couleurs des galets, le contraste tout beaux des couleurs de la mer et du ciel, superbe

I love this shot for its originality, its beautiful lines, its sharp details and mixture of contrasting textures. The pov is so well chosen such that lines block, lead and connect - really thought provoking!
My warm regards,

Okay, who was the other child? If you're anything like me, you can't do anything about the inevitability of getting older but that doesn't mean that you have to grow up! Come on, did you put those stones up there? :)
Whether you did or not is beside the point. The little pile of bright pebbles makes a perfect central foreground point of interest and I love how the rusty iron hoop around the top of the post is just the tiniest fraction above the horizon. The textures of the rusty metal and the wood of the posts is lovely and in fine contrast to the shiny stainless steel railings which make fine strong diagonals in the composition.
Beautiful vibrant colours, perfect exposure, a glorious sky and, of course, exquisite sharpness.

this is the sort of image I like so much. Very graphically pleasing. I like the colours, shapes and geometry.Oh and the textures too. I will add to my group theme "Graphically Pleasing".

You show that you have a great eye for
details. Not only the four stones, but
also "how I divide the picture".
Everything is beautiful separately and
that makes the picture nice calmness.
This and the great point of view
creates a beautifulo depth in the
picture. The light management is also
