Photographer's Note

This gentleman is very very possilby the biggest fan of Led Zeppelin. Not only has he got Led Zeppelin symbols tattoed on his back, he has added Led Zeppelin officially to his name. And unlike some fans we see in the TV screaming and jumping etc.. this guy is just a quiet normal person but that happen to love Led Zeppelin. When he was asked about how big did he think his beloved band was, he replied: "A Lot bigger than Jesus Christ".

He travelled for 65 miles to get to Gloucester Guildhall for 5.30am and got his ticket at 10.00am as he was the third in the queue. Well if I was Robert Plant who is going to have a gig at Gloucester Guildhall on the 8th May, I would give his ticket money back and give this guy some recognition on the day! Indeed when I asked him if he would like to be recognised by Robert on the day is replied: "It woould be a dream come true".

His passion is admirable.

Terrific portrait, Aleks & what a great story and note!

Superfandom borders on obsession, fanaticism & sometimes downright lunacy, so it can be easy to poke fun at, but here it is all within good taste and there is a lot of dignity/respect in these pictures.

I also love the bl/w close up shot of the tattoos. For the guy in question I'm just happy Led Zeppelin were only with four members!

Hello Aleks,
As John Lennon rightly claimed, the Beatles were bigger than Jesus Christ, so the question remains whether the Beatles were also greater than Led Zeppelin. I would say they were.
Regarding this photo it's a highly original portrait and a most remarkable contribution to TE. It makes me smile, but since you treat the subject with all due respect I can only feel respect for the man's enthusiasm.
