Photographer's Note
Lochranza Casle, Isle of Arran. The walls of the castle had a wonderful texture that I hope is visible here. The little boat was a nice find, I think it fits the scene well. Thank you for watching.

hello Jarmo,
this is a nicely composed photograph with the boat in the foreground. However, there is a little lack of sharpness so that the textures cannot be admired as they should be.Also, the light is rather dull and perhaps waiting for the sun to shine through would have helped although often the sun stays behind clouds in Scotland!)I like that the boat adds colour and gives a good dof.

Hi Jarmo,
I really love this one... for some reason this image is very appealing to me. It is very unique. Normally, I expect to see a boat near the beach or on the sea(water), not in front of a ruined castle...They both seemed to be abandoned, but the fresh blue colour not only brightened up the whole picture, but also told me it was once loved by somebody, so was the building behind.Well spoted and beautifullly taken.
Kind Regards.

Jarmo, I love the vertical formatting here and the lone boat in FG, which would indicate water nearby. You've presented this photo with great care to colors and light control and with great clarity; you've composed a very delightful photo here.
