Photographer's Note
Lincoln is a city that is not popular on TE. There are only six pages with the Lincoln photos. it is a pity because I fou nd it very interesting and beautiful city with a lot of fantastic photo opportunities. I was impressed by the covered bridge, the castle and wonderful cathedral. Here the courtyard of cathedral. it was raining when I was there so my photos are not so spectacular, but in spite of this I was wery glad that I went there.
I dedicate this photo to Mariusz who has just started his life in UK, as a hint what is worth seeing.

Bonjour, chère Malgorzata,
Excellente perspective architecturale. Je suis toujours admiratif devant l'audace de nos aïeux bâtisseurs.
Très belle mise en image.

Hi Malgo
Fantastic repetition of the columns & vaulted arches columns with the people adding scale. Textbook use of diminishing linear perspective & vanishing point. Superb sharpness & colour saturation, with warm golden tints. Tfs!

Hello Malgo - I think you have captured this impressive gallery remarkably well, the detail in the ceiling is very good, the light giving a good feel for the wonderful curving shapes. I like the small splash of red too. I shall be sure to look up this architectural beauty if I am in the area of Lincoln. Warm regards Rosemary

Hi Malgorzata,
a good framing with a perfect symmetry.
I like the escape of lines in this deep perspective of the corridor of the cloister of the Cathedral, with the elegant graphical effect of its architectural Gothic elements.
A good management of the light and of the chromatic quality, it's a great work.
Best regards,
Josep

Hi Malgo,
I've only been to Lincoln once and that was a long time ago: I found the city itself interesting but the surrounding countryside was depressingly flat and featureless. You have, however, provided an excellent note here as well as a stunning photograph from the cathedral.
Your title is most appropriate as the perspective here is very well seen. I love how the ongoing perspective is interrupted by the two people gazing in wonderment at the intricaies of the stonework and also by the sharp curve of the walls in the distance.
The lighting is superb also and might have been too harsh on a brighter day. Lovely colours, perfect exposure and stunning sharpness.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Malgorzata
An excellent perspective, composition and symmetry. Exposure can pose a problem in situaition like this but you manage it well for it looks so balanced. The structural designs, the stone works and textures are well rendered revealing the beauty, age and the ambient.. This is a fine image, a well thought out shot. Well done . TFS
Best regards

Czesc,
ladne ujecie, perspektywa wciaga. Interesujaca konstrukcja tego sklepienia. Osoby w tle daja mozliwosc porownania skali. Miejsce warte fotografowania.

Czesc Malgorzata,
Wspaniale zdjecie. Super pomysl zeby pokazac to sklepienie. Piekna symetria lukow.
Ci ludzie w oddali sa swietnymi miernikami skali, na dodatek zdaja sie wlasnie patrzec w gore.
Piekna atmosfera i kolorystyka. Super ostrosc.
Doskonala praca.
Ja mam znowu ostatnio duzo do zrobienia zarowno w domu jak i w pracy i nie zabieram sie nawet za przygotowanie zdjec na TE.
Pozdrowienia,
M

Hello Malgo, The symmetry in this image I find very appealing, I also like the splash of red & the difficult light is very handled. I see that on you planned trips Australia is not included, I know it is a long way but at some stage I think you should give it some serious consideration if you haven't done so already, this will not only give you the opportunity to see something new but also meet some interesting (TE) characters :).

Hi Malgo
damn...i was hoping this was in Poland so I can visit it!
the best part of the photo is the top half, where the architecture is the most dominating and powerful from a visual standpoint.
but the depth is great too.
a wonderful subject and well presented
enjoy your day!
Craig
