Photographer's Note
the remains of wooden sea groynes appear to hover above the water like ghosts, as the tide surrounds them at tyrella beach in county down.
tyrella is an isolated beach in dundrum bay, situated between the seaside town of newcastle, and the lighthouse at st. john's point. the light from the lighthouse is just visible to the right of the nearest wooden post.

Ciao Brian
veramente notevole questa foto, il mira ed il cielo con le sue tenui sfumature si uniscono e l'occhio seguie i pali fino all'infinito.

Good Morning Brian,
This shot sort of left me speechless ... well, you know what I mean, since I am typing, not speaking!!
It is incredibly beautiful, atmospheric, tranquil and yet mysterious; it creates these effects with the minimum of features! Wonderful art!
Have a lovely Sunday,
Bev :-)

Gidday Brian
Groynes! Is that what those things are called? I've learnt something new for sure.
But enough raving, onto your stunning photo. It's a masterpiece in blue. Love the long exposure and the perspective created by those groynes. The long exposure has had a supernatural effect on the ocean. Magnificent shot, certainly one of your best and such a pleasure to view.
Have a great Sunday

Hello Brian,
This is pure tranquillity!
Very well worth the early morning rise from your scratcher, this one epitomises tranquillity and peace. The long shutter opening has smoothed the water's surface beautifully and enhanced the soft colours and reflections wonderfully. The composition is excellent, the groynes perfectly placed and, indeed, appearing to disappear off to infinity. The sharpness and detail are exquisite and we can clearly see the lighthouse's light shining in the very far distance.
Perfect exposure and lovely colours.
Stunning!
Kind Regards,
John.
P.S. Did you use any sort of filters for this one?

Technically everything is perfect, as you probably know. Perfect thirds, perfect leading line, perfectly exposed.
But the feel of this picture is what makes it awesome. The moody blue hues are magical.

A nice minimalist shot with superb blue tones. Good graphism & repetition of the black poles. I like the subtle warm cold color contrasts between the orange & blue. I like the solitary light on the horizon. Tfs!

Hello Brian !
The title explains the nature of this beautiful image so well and much more. The presented image is so perfect in every possible manner that it is totally untouchable. The overall blue tone of the image, and its almost metallic glow is magical as if you have taken and have spread the colours on a series of silver foils. The luminosity of the image also participates to create an atmosphere, which is so serene and clean. The gravity of the image comes together on the horizon as if nature itself has decided to do so. I am sitting here trying to feel the beauty it possesses. The captivating quality, which comes to the observer is so rewarding. This is an image that exists beyond my capacity to explain and to describe. I am simply compelled to absorb all I can. This is truly an achievement. The quality of the photo is surpassing anyone’s imagination.
With my best and warm regards,
Have a very pleasant evening, Brian

Bonjour Brian,
My best regards.
Daniel.

Hi Brian
This shot at blue hour certainly packs a punch to it., I love the dissapearing factor depicted but I quite like the minimalist look of this. Lots of 'feel' to this shot, lovely silken water and the great sky creates a real moody and eerie but with bags of atmosphere hightened by the subtle shades of blue tones. Artistic & technically excellent image rendering with great tones, geometric perspective and clarity, Great shot.

Ciao dear Brian,
maybe because blue is my favorite color, or maybe just because this picture has an infinite depth, but I must tell you that you did a masterpiece. The fading of the colors is amazing, without too much noise but with good sharpness. Even the light is perfectly balanced. Sincere compliments, dear friend, this is a feast for the eyes!
Ciao, have a nice Thursday!
