Good Morning Everyone,
This is part of a sculpture by Annish Kapoor which is situated outside the Royal Acadamy London. It was part of a larger sculpture which I will submit as a w/s. The tiny dots are not blemishes, it began to rain just as I was taking the shot! Typical!
I dedicate the photograph to Craig (macjake) because he is a self confessed reflectaholic.
Annish Kapoor is also responsible for the construction of a tall spiral tower outside London's new Olympic Stadium. I'm sure that will become an icon in time.
Have a lovely w/e and many thanks for stopping by, Bev :-)

Brav et bon week-end.

Un prise de vue originale, bravo pour le coup d'oeil.
la pluie ajoute un plus sur le rendu de la boule et son effet miroir.

Outstanding result, Beverly, as the rain-drops made this a fine decorated reflection.
Perfect mirror and well premeditated idea applied, very sharp details shown.
Enjoy a nice weekend,

The raindrops contribute much to the mood of this well presented composition. I like also the presence of the people scattered across the frame and seemingly intent on getting their own shots. Well seen. Have a good weekend.

the rain drops add another dimension to an already super shot, judging by rugged up people it was a pretty dull day when you took it, so very well done to get not only the exposure spot on but also showing all the lovely details.
Have a nice week end

love this! Not just the magical reflection, but I love the little jewels of moisture on the globe's surface. Executed with aplomb and style and a first class presentation.
Enjoy your weekend - regards Brian.

molto bello ed originale questo riflesso sferico.
Le goccioline d'acqua rendono ancora più ricca di dettagli, l'immagine.
Well done and TFS!
Chi sei tu tra gli unici due uomini che stanno fotografando?
Immagino quello al centro con la giacca azzurra.

I think the spots of rain lend a very artistic character to this shot and I see one or two others with the same idea as yourself. It is a beautiful sharp well framed image- Lovely capture Beverley.
Hope the weather improves and you get some more good shots

Hello Beverley, the good 'idea to shoot the ball, which in turn caught the specular-mirror' image. Very beautiful and original. managed perfectly. Congratulations.

What a fine self-portrait! And you've been shopping too - what's in that yellow bag of yours? - a new lens, perhaps?
This is a very imaginative shot but also a very successful one. Perhaps because you've done this before - I remember a similar picture to this one not so long ago.
This must be a good gathering point for photographers too - I see at least one other person there taking a photograph.
Great imagination, fabulous details and sharpness, perfect exposure and great composition.

An innovative method to make a picture! The sphere provides a great mirror and we can enjoy many details in the surrounding. And you bring some fine colours yourself too to the scene!

Good afternoon Bev :-)
My first thought was 'circular fisheye lens' when I looked at the thumb, but the very enjoyable visual effect was rendered in a far more creative way !
The rain actually adds to the graphic attraction and I love the way the borders and corners of the frame do the same thing.
A fab visual essay & capture, TFS!
Best regards from Rotterdam,

these reflections are really very photogenic! I like the composition a lot because it reveals a very nice sense of humor. (By the way: I like the inclusion of the person with the yellow bag). Light and colors are superb. My compliments also for the dedication!

The Lady in Blue! What a great shot both of this interesting sculpture and the architecture it reflects. I love the distortion, the perspective and the colours. A truly beautiful and inventive shot, congrats.
Have a lovely day

Great composition as well as highly original, precious reflexes Royal Academy offers us a fantastic dimension, more than one photographer captured the image besides the people watching sculpture, blue lady I can be your well-centered image, as you've focused the steel ball perfectly into the picture.
Superb brightness and sharpness. Well done.
P / D. In your comment you asked me if I went on a boat when the photo is taken, then no, I'll tell you that from other parts of the small port.

You create a nice effect here with the reflection. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has nice sharpness. This photo is very typical of Monaco, in front of its famous Casino.

Hello Dear Bev,
I love every aspect of this shot — the hemispherical dome that has created an expansive, 180°, view of the scene, the usually inclement London weather in late October, the perturbation created by the drizzle, the "Escher-like self-portrait", and the note. In June of 2010 I stood in front of spherical reflector, serving as a pendulum on a clock in Cambridge and created a similar image. Except... I had to track the oscillating pendulum with my camera in order to catch the reflection in a clear manner. Other than the fact that I was hypnotized in the process, I was able to produce a good photo. I am submitting a ws in honor of your excellent photo. (And yes, "the other Leonardo" must be your husband, Leonard.)
