Tuscor Lloyds (UK) Ltd: glass building reflecting the Milennium Bridge and Riverside Court across the Manchester Ship Canal. I was standing on the end of the footbridge, and saw this glass building ahead: knew there were photographs to be made here. Salford is actually quite an interesting place...

Excellent shot! The reflected elements of architecture look interesting in that glass facade. The visual effect and perfect cropping make your image very eye-catching. Great work!

One reflection, two reflections...it's like two abstract paintings together, I like it!
Have a good WE!

Nice crisp reflections captured here with excellent light management. Just a thought but there may be two pictures here and the brownish reflection on the right hand side would be fabulous cropped as a picture on its own. The colours and shapes are particularly interesting and the colours of the reflected building and sky well saturated.
A really interesting image - well done and TFS.
Kind Regards, Ann

Good morning Will,
nice the reflections on this glass building with the shapes from the opposite Millennium bridge and Riverside court contractions, to create an excellent and effective optical effect on them.
Have a good weekend,Danos

When I saw the thumbnail I thought this had to be somewhere exotic. What a surprise when I realised where is actually is!
Great reflections along with fabulous colours create an eye catching final image.

like the effect here, quite fascinating and mesmerising. A wonderful mixture of light and abstract shapes and colours. A striking image and presentation.
Enjoy the weekend - Brian.

I've been to Manchester a couple of times in the last few years, and have a few shots up on TE. But haven't got around to visiting the ship canal yet, something I hope to rectify next time. You've made a very good reflection shot here, with the two halves contrasting and yet balancing each other. I like the distortions, and the right sided reflection reminds me of Gaudi's architectural designs. Nice sky with soft dreamy clouds. Very well done.

I know the place but never have noticed this beautiful reflection. I will be in Manchester from March 8th to 18th, so I will go there to try to see this artificial landscape.
In fact, you have 2 pictures, and the right one with the brownish hues is eye catching!

Fantastic shot Will-it has the look of a Dali painting more than a photograph. Beautiful

Very effective image, great angle chosen, but I think it would be even more effective if the next, right segment of the building was completely captured, or if it is completely expelled from the photo. This narrow strip of sky on the right side just spoiled the photo..

very creative work here, quite opposite approach to my postcard style photos. I like to do both but in the lack of time I start with postcards... and usually there is never time for creative shots anymore...
These reflections mean that you also had a great light there. Very pleasant warm color tones.
The distorted reflections work very intriguing, fortunately I was there so I know what reflects and what is reflected.
This place has a great potential.
Great work here!
PS By the way: there is a mess in the UK regarding the counties. There are those historical counties or ceremonial purposes counties. You have place Manchester where it historically belongs but there is actually here a separate Manchester county. TE is using the ceremonial approach. I see all the time people putting Newcastle in Northumberland although there is special Tyne and Wear county...

Beautiful with the image composed of two very different looking parts but the dividing lines of the glass in the facade joins them together.
Excellent creative work!
Best regards, Paul

This is also a splendid example of an amazing reflection. As a matter of facts you gives us here two for the price of one. The left part like a modern sculpture with the sky as background and the right part like a painting of George Braque.

I saw your link to this last week, then forgot it and afterwards couldn't find it. Now Rob (alvaraalto) helped me recover it. I had meant to make a comment because I saw two fine surrealistic paintings in this glass wall. I'm just not sure who made them. Maybe the one to the left could have been Dali and the other one Max Ernst. Or the left one is by De Chirico. Never mind, you found some extraordinary reflections that day.
