The sun sets on this volcanic basalt scenario. The Giants Causeway was described as ‘The Eighth Wonder Of The World’. The area consists of an estimated 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns, which were formed during a volcano eruption 60 million years ago.

A gorgeous shor of The Giants Causeway, one of the most fantastic place I've ever seen ! I love the wide angle POV that adds depth to the composition. The sky has fantastic colours. Well done !

Hi Stephen, perfect light management. Lots of great detail and colours despite the high contrast. Did you use a reverse GND? cheers, Steve

Hello Stephen, very nice sunset shot of the Giants Causeway. Excelelnt oranges and purples in the sky that reflect off the stones. The Devils Postpile Nat Monument in the Mammoth Lakes area in California is made of the same volcanic basalt material and formed into hexagoanl shapes. Our planet Earth is an amazing place and your image has captured a part of that.
Thanks for sharing with all of us,

Hi Stepehn, I dreamt about seeing famous Giants Causeway but eventually I went to Staffa island which is something like other end of it. Fantastic basalt columns. Excellent shot in sunset light.

A la fois pour le coté graphique de ces rochers bien rangés, comme pour le coté lumière de fin de journée.
Bravo pour cette magnifique photo.

this is a stunning picture. the colours in the sky are vivid, and the sharpness of the rocks really stand out.
