Photographer’s Note

Here you see the interior of the very small Fishermen's Chapel of St. Brelade's Parish Church. I already posted a picture of this
church and there's some information too for the one, who is interested.
I called this picture "Silence" because when I was there, I really heard nothing, such a beautiful calm place...

These colors are very beautiful, good angle for this chapell.
Paralelism and light make a very good composition.

Well done managing the exposure for this to preserve the interior atmosphere and light setting of the chapel. The symmetrical framing works out fine, and the candle below the altar is a nice detail. Also, the murals/frescoes painted above the window and on the ceiling are quite well rendered. Nice photo, Hans.

Beste Hans, (extra) bedankt voor het bezoek, dit zou werkelijk kunnen dienen voor een stilleven, de muur schilderijen zijn al een mooi toemaatje op de foto, de licht inval door het smalle venster en de kaars beneden maken de foto tot een prachtig zacht geheel Hans.

Impressive capture. In spite of the backlight from the window you caught a good impression of the paintings on the wall. And I like that you got down on your knees to take this. It makes good perspective with those chairs in front. Indeed a peaceful place.

Dans notre ils il y a une église et une chapelle pour chaque village j’espère pouvoir vous en faire visiter quelque une aussi bien que toi Hans c’est une très jolie image

Bonsoir Hans,
Merci pour avoir remarqué les 300 photos publiées sur TE.
J'aime beaucoup cette petite chapelle avec sa superbe fresque, le lieu monacal incite au recueillement et à la méditation.
Très belle voûte elliptique.
Pas évident d'obtenir un tel résultat à l'intérieur d'un édifice religieux.

Hi there, my turn to write a kind note! This is a very cute little chapel! I have been on holiday in Jersey once when I was 15 years old and loved it there...I cannot remember having seen this chapel though! Maybe I should go back there someday...such beautiful island!

Really an excellent idea to have posted an interior view of this beautiful church. Here I love the bareness of the adornments and this fresco. The bright light coming from through the window, the smooth reflections on the floor, and the low angle view give a spiritual touch to this shot. From here, your photo let me hearing (imagine) the quietness and the silence, Hans!

A wonderfully atmospheric capture this is, Hans! I love the symmetry and the PoV here. It really works great here to showcase the spartan furniture of this chapel and the partly washed out frescoes.....and it also conveys a feeling of great calmness & tranquility. Wonderful work, Hans!

This is a very special photo Hans. You have managed incredible light indoors. These is a lot of atmosphere in the shot. We can feel the peace and quiet of this place. The small lighted candel gives is a great addition.
