My last posting shows part of this wall at the end of August. I am posting this in response to a request to show how different the flowers are in June. The pink ones are armeria caespitosa, usually called seapink or thrift. The yellow ones are known as bird's foot trefoil lotus corniculata. Both seed freely in poor soil near the sea.
The time of this shot was 6 pm.

Good evening Winifred,
Both the thrift, (a wonderful reminder of the old threepenny bits), and the bird's foot trefoil set the scene so well for this view. The flowers of the coast make the perfect foreground for this protected little harbour.
I hope you are well and have enjoyed the summer. Autumn is upon us now,and the days are so short.
Warm greetings from the UK, Amelia

Good morning Winifred !
Thank you for posting this colourful view of the same place as last time, from a slightly differnt POV and in a earlier part of the season.
The wild grass and flowers really brighten the panorama, which looks idyllic on this rocky coast, with a mirror-like sea, the fortress, the seagull and the beautiful clouds in the sky.
Is that a kind of off-shore bar between the sort of pond and the wide sea?
Thaks for sharing and have a good day !

Good evening Winifred!
This genre of photos has usually a special effect: the viewer feels the warm atmosphere of the close ambience of the photographer while observing a remote and not really friendly landscape. It is this contrast (enhanced by the clolours) that has caught my attention.
Congratulations and best whishes

Shot in early June, this image features a wonderful medley of colors. The composition the walls on the two sides, the lush growth of grass and flowers, and even the seagull caught in midair, and in a colorful sky creates a joyful mood.
Recently a friend sent me a little YouTube link from what must be a Scottish TV show Regarding Voice Recognition Software. My friends and I have enjoyed it very much. Are you familiar with this group?
Warm regards, Winifred,

Hello dear Winifred,
It is delightful to see this photo from summer, with these beautiful flowers!
What a good depth!
I like a lot the presence of the bird - it gives an extra charm to the photo without distracting us from the beauty of the composition of the image.

Perfect sharpness making the grasses and flowers come alive. There is a lot going on with the seagull in mid-flight and the boats resting at low-tide. Tfs, Marlene
