Photographer's Note
After having a bad nights sleep, i awoke at about 5am.
I looked out the window to see some lovely low lying mist and patchy clouds in the sky, so i jumped up, grabbed my camera gear, and drove to Ashey Down as quick as i could.
On arrival at Ashey Down the wind had started to increase slightly which lifted the fog in the valley and turned it into low cloud, luckily the valley in front of me was sheltered so the fog lasted a little longer, and as the sun started to break through the medium level and low level clouds it produced an amazing orange glow, which looked even better when facing directly into the sun (i will upload pics of that next!)
I used an ND8 soft graduated filter and an ND4 graduated filter to keep the sky nice and contrasty!

Hi Jamie,
I love the atmosphere of this photo ! The little mist and the cloudy sky create a mysterious atmosphere. The rising sun gives wonderful golden colours to the fields in the foreground. It was worth it having a bad nights sleep !
