Another picture from my trip to London, this time one for the winter hunt.
As soon as i saw the Taxis sign just below the taxis i knew i had to photograph this!
I made it black and white because I feel that this type of taxi is an old style and best suited a black and white.
Nearly all of the taxis in London are advertising something or other, the main taxi in this picture advertising Jelly Belly Beans.

i think b&w is a good choice here, i like the brightness, contrast and the slight foggyness but it seems to me there's too much sharpness (maybe oversharpened?) there's too much empty space on the bottom left and for me there's something missing in the frame. imho this would have worked much better with just the cab on the left. (i also wish there were no ads on the taxis) sorry but i've seen better shots ones in your gallery.

Consommons ...
Bien vu et très bien fait Steven.

Hi Steven, I think you could also have titled this one "Cab Kiss", it's what first came to my mind viewing the photo !
At first I did not understand why you desaturated this photo it came later reading your note, I understand now, still I'm wondering how colorfull these ads were, maybe you could post the color version as a WS to compare ?
Other than color, I like the positioning of the two cabs on a diagonal, it would have been a plus to enlarge a bit the view to the right to enclose the whole right cab, even if doing so you get more unwanted street you can always crop it away afterwards.
I'm having a small problem understanding the second sentence, I believe one or more words are missing there...

They are very famous those taxis from London but I didn't knew there was advertising on it and I though they were all blacks. Nice composition of that old and new Austin model...

This one is very nice, Steven, and of course makes a fine add into the "Taxi" category for the hunt. A well-seen detail of the two painted taxis, and taken from a good perspective to include some of the roadside details behind. With the JellyBelly ad paint, I would have kept this one in color, I guess - if you wanted to emphasize the "classical" feel of the taxis it might have been better to take a shot of classically plainer ones. But I still like the photo.
