Photographer’s Note
The Cheshire plain at sunset - The Cheshire plain is a typical English rural landscape, peppered with small villages and towns. The farms in the area are mainly livestock.
I purposefully chose this elevated position at the Eastern edge of Cheshire (nr Rainow) to attempt to get a sunset shot from near my home town. I took nearly 150 images during the hour around sundown, tryng different settings. I was disappointed with almost all of them - this is the best I achieved, I hope you like it.
PP levels, selective contrast and USM.

haha i like the 2 sheeps looking towards you, looks like you had better start running!
a nice sunset shot, i like the mist towards the back of the picture, makes it lookf very cold, which im sure it was at this time of the year! nice shot well done

Spectacular light on this landscape. I like th way the 2 sheeps are placed in the composition and colors are absolutely fine.
Very good work David !

David,
I've enjoyed looking around your shots, but this one in particular caught my eye. It might not have the clarity or sharpness of some of your other shots, but the feeling of the photograph and the scene it portrays is very strong.
Technical accumen is not the be all and end all, I guess - somewhere it's also about the artistry...
Well done,
Chris
