Photographer’s Note
The Northumbrian shore has a rich natural and cultural heritage. St. Mary's Island and Lighthouse, at the north side of Whitley Bay, are centrally placed on this coastline and captures much of its character. The island is connected to the mainland by a short causeway, which the sea covers once every twelve hours.

HI Fara,
Although you have posted many unique and wonderful images of this place this is the first one I remember in a lovely and peaceful blue sky .. I love the eye catching brightness on the lighthouse .. and the still reflection in the water .. and the yellow greens of the foreground .. very nice. You should put together a travel book of this place. take care, John

Fara, you have some lovely images in your gallery. The colours on this one are lovely and you have a great POV with the lighthouse placed really well. I really like the way the clouds are positioned - they add some more drama to the shot.
cheers

Dear Fara
A very interesting landscape, the sea has retreated but will come back of course in some hours. This gives a certain strange feeling to your shot, makes it special and adds DOF to it. Also the clouds make the viewer look to the lighthouse. Very well composed and executed with vivid colors and great sharpness
Best regards
Urs

Hello Fara!
What a beautiful picture!
The low pov was a great choice! The composition was quite effective with astonishing visual results!
Sharpness is excellent, exposure is perfect, colors have the best saturation level and they look fantastic here, as well as the brightness, with the best management of light!
TFS - congratulations!
Best regards,
Neyvan
