Photographer’s Note
I recently saw a painting from the 1800's of rapeseed and poppies that was painted on the other side of the island where i live (in Limerstone near Chale), this inspired me to go out and find a new poppy field, and it just so happened the exact field that inspired the painting had poppies and rapeseed in it! I decided to try and use HDR to capture the full range of colours and tones.
It worked in a way but the sky looks a little odd to me!
I used an ND8 Graduated filter

Wonderful shot. Superb colours.
God splattered his paint brush again :)
Nice achivement in what you set out to do.
I love the final burst of sun on the hill.
I love the mountain and the divided fields.

IMO the HDR worked well here.
I also like the perspective and the warm orange sky, that's not odd for me!
well done

yeah, this is fantastic, amazing sunset colors, excellently composed with so many beautiful red and
yellow flowers in the foreground and a wonderful mountain-slope in the background. and it does not
really look like an HDR-processed image - the sky is perfect - i wonder how the normal exposure would have looked like. superb job & best wishes, thor.

Hello Jamie -
I liked your harbor sunset, but this one is over the top with the brightly colored flowers in the FG, the beautiful Dale in the middle distance, and the last vestiges of the sun in the BG. The rays off of the sun make this kind of magical. Well done!
Thank you for sharing.
